The author of the Masonic Manual ventures to invite the attention of the public to a subject, which has for several years excited considerable curiosity, but no profound or solid investigation. The work contains much of the morality which had been interwoven into the lectures of Masonry, as they existed at the time when it was written; and many ceremonial details have also been incorporated into its pages.
