From its opening story by Kat Pomfret, set in the American Deep South, to the strong ending of a new Resnick story by John Harvey, Sunday Night and Monday Morning showcases the diversity of Nottinghamshire's burgeoning literary scene, augmented by Nottinghamshire-born writers now living elsewhere. Other stories are set in Lithuania, in the future, in the Middle Ages and in purely domestic settings. Most of the stories are original, a couple are reprinted from Granta and the Guardian, while others offer exclusive extracts from forthcoming novels. All of the contributors have a national reputation, creating a collection that is both absorbing and highly entertaining.
