In recent years, the statistical processing of information has become a fundamental tool within Engineering, specially, but not only, as part of the analysis of big data. This book is intended as a support for students of Statistics in Engineering. It includes exercises and tests (with solutions) about the main topics within an introductory course: Descriptive Statistics, Probability Models, Statistical Inference, Multivariate Analysis, and Reliability Analysis. The book also includes a brief theoretical summary at the beginning of each chapter as well as a number of computational analysis performed with R.
