This adapted version of Pushkin's 'Captain's Daughter' is designed for students with an intermediate knowledge of Russian (around B2 level according to the CEFR).

The book consists of 14 lessons and each part of the text has a commentary and footnotes. Unfamiliar vocabulary and phrases are included in the footnotes and translated into English. The meaning of these words and phrases is only according to the given context. To help make the reading process easier, various grammatical and lexical exercises are provided, which also help learners digest and remember new material.
