A Journey Back in Time, is an autobiography interlaced with the history of the times the author lived through. He starts the story of his life with the day he came to planet earth--January 6, 1934, at a small village near the Afghanistan border, and recounts the events of his childhood, boyhood and youth, first in British India, then in Pakistan and later in the United States. In his book, Zia Rehman relates some interesting social and political conditions, sometimes tragic, prevailing in the countries he lived in, especially how the partition of British India in 1947 forced his family to migrate to Pakistan, which his father believed would be a great country to live in. Learn about how Pakistan has lately fallen to the level of a failed State on the brink of breaking up, and how self proclaimed champions of Islam on the Frontier region are annexing large chunks of territory from the weak central government. Learn about how decades of neglect of modern education and exploitation of the illiterate masses in the name of Islam by rogue and corrupt politicians have brought Pakistan to ruin. ?A Journey Back in Time ? covers a comparative study of three countries, India, Pakistan and the United States of America, and gives reasons why America dominates on the world stage, and how secular India has out-striped Pakistan in development and progress.
