Henley's prosperity has undergone marked fluctuations over the centuries, and this book traces the history of the town, and the villages within a three-mile radius of the centre, from Roman times to the present day. As well as describing the major changes in the history of the town and the surrounding villages, the book includes brief accounts of some of the individuals who helped to shape that history, and it is illustrated with a number of photographs, maps and drawings.
