Goal! is ideal for children who are struggling to develop the basics of reading and who need structured systematic phonics-based reading books with a higher-interest age. The Goal programme is based round Letters and Sounds phonics scheme and offers structured progression over five levels. The level 2 pack includes sixteen books. It introduces the main graphemes (letters) and phonemes (sounds) and builds basic consonant-vowel-consonant words. It features some higher-level football vocabulary. The pack includes two accompanying workbooks.
