It highlights gender planning as a new tradition whose goal is to ensure that women, through empowering themselves, achieve equalityand equity with men in developing societies. The book also describes the conceptual rationale for a new planing tradition based on gender and needs, and identifies methodological procedures, tools and techniques to integrate gender into planning processes.
