This course is designed to prepare students for the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English. It provides the systematic development of the skills required to pass the exam, along with the necessary practice material in the examination format. The course includes grammar sections with explanations and practice; a variety of listening texts reflecting those found in the exam itself; and "study boxes" dealing with areas regularly tested in the examination, for example phrasal verbs and dependent prepositions. Throughout, there is an emphasis on student participation, with motivating communication activities included in each unit.
