Detalls del llibre
This richly illustrated book graphically describes the evolvement of firefighting appliances in the Counties of Eastern England from the time of de-nationalisation in 1948 to the present day. Written by a former Cambridgeshire firefighter, the book is separated into seven chapters; one for each of the six counties and one for the new Dimensions fleet of vehicles. Each chapter describes the vehicles purchased by the counties via a number of amalgamations, following local government re-organisations, into the modern day service. The book contains over 300 photographs, including a colour section, and is completed by an appendix listing fire appliance manufacturers. 'Fire Appliances of Eastern England' is packed with information, and makes for essential reading for any fire-fighting enthusiast.
