The book gives a general description of the Bombardier Electrostar fleet that serves many of the commuter routes around London and the South East. Commencing with a brief overview of the requirement to replace slam door stock post privatization and the Electrostar concept, it continues with a fleet by fleet description of the various different types put into service until production stopped in 2018 with the introduction of the Aventura platform.
