A future oriented volume looking into new methods of productive research into domestic violence and the maltreatment of children. Whilst it is known that many children are severely affected by domestic violence, some appear to come through the experience unscathed and it is unclear what protects these children and how the larger community and social environment impedes of enhances adjustment in their families. Contributors discuss the various measures and methods of analyzing data, the effectiveness of intervention and the implications for public policy to give a better understanding of the impact of domestic violence on children.
