Because the greatest need appears to be for more historical sources - narrative, homiletic and documentary - to be made available in trustworthy editions, editorial preference is given here to the publication of texts in both European and oriental languages, although interpretative material is not neglected. Crusades also incorporates the Society's Bulletin. The editors are Professor B.Z. Kedar of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and Professor J.S.C. Riley-Smith of the University of Cambridge, together with Dr Helen Nicholson of Cardiff University and Michael Evans of Reading University as associate editors.Contributors to volume 3 include: Benjamin Z. Kedar, Denys Pringle, Michael Stone and Peter Frankopan.
