Each chapter addresses a substantive issue in research on changes in family relationships, and also directs the reader's attention to the methods employed and how they operate to uncover the changing relationship. There are sections on marital, parent-child and sibling relationships; each chapter presents either longitudinal or experimental data, with several presenting broader models of family relationships over time.
