The Longmoor Military Railway started life as the Woolmer Instructional Military Railway in a barren undeveloped part of East Hampshire, in the early years of the century. Thousands of servicemen were trained on the line in all aspects of railway construction and operation, using a very diverse collection of rolling stock and equipment. This is fully illustrated, together with many of the memorable public open days.
