Arquitectura y Ferrocarril.Tipos, formas y usos en la construcción del ferrocarril de Andalucía.Decía Mies van der Rohe que "la arquitectura es la voluntad de una época trasladada al espacio". Eso fue lo que sucedió con muchos de los tipos de edificios que surgieron en el siglo XIX, entre ellos los edificios relacionados con el ferrocarril, que formaron parte de la respuesta a las nuevas necesidades de esa época. Se ha tratado de explicar la arquitectura ferroviaria como "sistema arquitectónico", superando el tradicional estudio del edificio individual y aislado, y destacando la importancia de los espacios que se crean alrededor de su eje viario principal, así como la interdependencia entre edificios, y entre estaciones, hasta configurar la compleja estructura de red que lo caracteriza. También se analiza la evolución de las tipologías y estilos arquitectónicos que se han utilizado en las distintas etapas de la construcción del ferrocarril de Andalucía.Architecture and the Railway.Types, ways and uses in Railway Construction in Andalusia.Miles van der Rohe stated that ?architecture is the will of an era given taken to space?. This is what happened with many of the buildings arising in the 19th century. Among these, railway-related constructions were intended as a response to the new needs of that age. Railway Architecture has been explained as an ?architectural system?, exceeding the traditional study of the single, isolated building and highlighting the importance of the spaces surrounding the road axis. Together with this, the examination of the interdependence between buildings, and between stations, until its characterising and complex net structure is finally configured. Finally, the evolution of the architectural types and styles used in the different stages of the Railway construction in Andalusia is also studied.
