Examining recent trends in agroecology that view the field as a transdisciplinary and participatory process, this edited volume actively addresses actors and social processes at different geo-political scales to transform the global agrifood system. It highlights transdisciplinary research to integrate different academic disciplines as well as different forms of knowledge (e.g., experiential, cultural, and spiritual). It also offers participatory action research (PAR) to engage all relevant actors, engendering an equitable process of research, reflection, and engagement on areas of desirable change.
