This work is a monographic treatise that correlates the medical information obtained in the different studies carried out on human embryos, in the living and in the corpse.The author uses numerous diagrams, histological preparations and high-quality anatomical and surgical images to describe the morphology, course and interrelationships of the aponeurosis of Denonvilliers, the lateral pelvic fascia, the dorsal venous complex of the penis and their relationships, the postero angles -lateral and the route of the nerves that form the postero-lateral bundle or "bandelette". All this research is complemented by the anatomical-ultrasound correlation of the prostate gland and the morphological study of the urethral sphincter.With the anatomical-surgical correlation that he carries out, the author greatly facilitates the learning of open, laparoscopic or robotic prostate surgery for Urology residents and urologists in training. The work is prefaced by the eminent urologist Dr. Patrick C.
