Professor Richard Helms heads a band of scientists and soldiers sent to explore New Amazon, a savage planet determined to attack them at every turn. When they are done cataloguing the ecosystem, they plan to burn it to the ground to make it fit to live. When they fall under attack, they are forced to flee into the jungle.
