There are ten days of the year more blessed and beloved than any others. These are the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. The blessings of these days are often overlooked, and many are not even aware of their virtues. Yet good deeds performed during these days outweigh any done throughout the rest of the year. Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet (May God bless him and grant him peace) said: "No good deeds are better than what is done in these first ten days of Dhul Hijjah." (Bukh?r?) The greatness of Arafah, the virtues of Eid al-Adha, and the blessed days of Hajj all fall in these ten days.
