When a professional disaster strikes and a reputable London theatre impresario loses his shirt, he and his somewhat 'unconventional' family are forced to downsize and find another much cheaper house. They discover an early 16th-century Yeoman's house hidden in a remote village in Lincolnshire. But there are secrets within the house, and their son, a natural medium, unwittingly opens a portal that lets evil in, endangering not only their lives but that of humanity.
