To understand the point at which public housing stock in large urban centresfinds itself, it is vital to approach the process of generating social housing inall its complexity. The need to respond sustainably to the housing emergencyhas prompted a rethinking of the strategy to generate housing and, moreurgently, social housing.This publication presents and analyses the various strategies for the developmentand construction of social housing carried out in recent years by themunicipal administration in the city of Barcelona.
