Spoken English for the medical professional es una obra orientada principalmente a profesionales del ámbito de la salud interesados en mejorar su competencia en lengua inglesa en general y en la lengua propia de su dominio de especialidad en particular. Mediante un enfoque teórico-práctico, el libro aborda las cuatro destrezas básicas de cualquier lengua–comprensión y expresión oral, escritura y lectura - proporcionando además, y de manera integrada, un completo inventario (siempre contextualizado) de la terminología más relevante del área, de sus expresiones más recurrentes y/o significativas, de las estrategias pragmáticas a utilizar y de los patrones y usos gramaticales de la lengua inglesa, todo ello con el fin de mejorar la comunicación y la interacción en el ámbito profesional. With this aim in mind, the book is based on real work documents and texts for considering them the most realistic and accurate way of dealing with the study of any foreign language and its languages of speciality.
